Data You Give Us Directly
If you enter a name, phone number, or address in a search form, the third-party provider supplying the results receives that entry; our servers retain no copy of the search. If you contact us, we see the contents of the message and use them to respond.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our hosting service records routine server-log details, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review those details in aggregate to maintain the site and understand which pages receive use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
The information supports site operation, problem fixing, aggregate traffic counts, and page improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or build profiles of individual users.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and outside search tools. The privacy policies of those services govern what you submit to them. Sponsored search results are supplied by a third-party company and are subject to that provider's practices.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support providers process the server logs described above on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data already described. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure, and otherwise do not disclose it.
How We Protect Your Data
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs remain only for as long as the purposes above require. Since there are no accounts, this site has no password or user profile of yours to expose.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a minor sent information, use the contact route and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Qualifying consumers may have rights to know, delete, correct, limit use of sensitive personal information, and opt out of sale or sharing under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code §1798.100 et seq., subject to exemptions. Because the site keeps very little, a request generally concerns the contact mailbox and any server logs we can locate. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by California state, county, or municipal offices are outside our control. Access or correction requests for those records belong with the custodian under the California Public Records Act, Government Code §§7920.000-7931.000.
Updates to This Policy
Changes to this policy will appear on this page. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
